Ambit is a unique, non-commercial Web site for information and enjoyment. Few banners & ads, and no shopping carts of its own. Just plenty of links and original pages. This Web site is designed to maximize the availability of the Web for you. In this single "waystation," you will find that information, help or entertainment is only a click or two away of your mouse or keyboard.
Ambit wants to help you "Tame The Web!ฎ" If you find this is true, then tell others about Ambit. If you have a Web page, consider adding a link to Ambit on your Web site. Check out the graphics on the Link to Ambit page (there's a FLASH banner there, too.)
On September 19th, 2005, Ambit turned TEN years old. At that time, nearly a quarter million individuals have viewed Ambit. The entire site has more than 4 million hits in a year. Most visitors never commented (Why? Read "Reasons Why No One Signs" to find out.) Since I've been doing this for 90% of a decade, your feedback, left in Ambit's Guestbook, will help keep me motivated.
WE DON'T SPAM!! Spammers have been illegally forging our domain (i.e., using "ambitweb.com" in the Return Address for spam email) since June, 2003. We have prosecuted spammers, but the situation is so bad that, for now, we have closed all email to Ambit and are working with law enforcement authorities to quickly resolve the situation. We are working to shut down sites affiliated with unauthorized use of email from our domain and will work with law enforcement authorities to prosecute any perpetrators involved in this illegal act to the fullest extent of the law. If you receive spam mail from ambitweb.com, it is not from us!!

What Happened To Ambit?
In 2002, after nearly six years, it was time for a face lift. This new "front door" better represents the quality of Ambit's Web site by giving our visitors a sampling of some of Ambit's pages, improved site navigation, and the capability to use the entire Web right from here. Ambit is now, more than ever, the Web's true "Waystation." Return here often because many of Ambit's pages are ever-changing and improving.

The End Of An Era?
After 6 years, we could no longer continue the popular SF on TV Program Guide page because the data source we used is no longer available! The page was last published on January 28, 2002. We are still looking for a new database of TV programming to replace the one we used so we can bring back the SF on TV Program Guide. If anyone knows of one, please contact the Webmaster.
